Blurred

Publication Design & Photography | Adobe InDesign & Adobe Photoshop

A print publication with original photography for Andy Miah’s 2000 article, Virtually nothing: re-evaluating the significance of cyberspace, communicating the lack of privacy and undefined boundaries as a human in cyberspace.

The translucent front cover, revealing the contents page, conveys the voyeurism that one experiences as an internet user. A black and white colour palette has been used to communicate a sense of obscurity that is present on the internet. Numbers, in the same monospace typeface used in the text, representing early computing, have been projected onto people and items, blurring the lines between the digital and analogue worlds.

This design prompts viewers to reflect on their role in cyberspace.
